Shawl and Beanie

Shawl: about 132cm x 65cm (excluding tassels).

Hat: to fit head about 56-60cm.

All measurements are in centimetres (cm). For approximate inch sizes simply multiply by 0.4 (or divide by 2.54).

Materials: Schachenmayr/SMC Kadina Light, 550g #00036 fuchsia. Milward 10-12mm needles and five 8-9mm and 10-12mm double-pointed needles, or size to obtain gauge, plus one thick crochet hook for the tassels.

Rib pattern: alt K1, P1.

Garter stitch: in rows knit all sts.

Stocking stitch (st-st): in rounds K all sts.

Tension: on 10-12mm needles in garter stitch 7-8 sts and 16 rows; on 10-12mm needles in st-st 9 sts and 15 rounds, each to 10cm.
